Did you know that respite care is essential for both caregivers and those you support and love? Taking much-needed breaks from daily routines and responsibilities, respite care is an opportunity for caregivers to recharge! This helps us provide compassionate and more effective care to our loved one.

At the same time, respite care allows those being cared for to experience new environments and social time. This is uplifting and beneficial for their overall well-being. My studies at Liberty University Master's program tells us that when we socialize, our bodies release feel-good hormones like oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin. These chemicals help boost our mood, reduce stress, and enhance our sense of connection with others!

As you think about the coming year and needs for your senior loved one, we are running a registration special. We are waiving registration fees. At Gayle's Corner, you can come any one weekday, or all weekdays. You can choose your time spot through the end of December for free. Remember that you can use our services for respite care, or you can work, run errands, or just relax. As many hours as you need. One other option involves volunteers!
