We’re going to State!! Congratulations to the 4A District Champs! Axel and Adie took 2nd in Singles. Ivy/Zanna and Pete/Will took 1st in doubles. Gracyn/June and Josh/Dhruv took second in doubles. They will all play the state tournament in Kennewick on Memorial Day Weekend.

Last night of matches for our players… senior night tonight vs Selah. Too much fun. League champs and on to districts this Saturday and Monday. Come watch amazing tennis. Girls @ YTC and Boys @ WVHS matches start @ 9:00 am. Monday everyone at WVHS starting at 10:00 am.

In the realm of courts where tennis balls fly,
West Valley and Sunnyside reached for the sky.
With rackets in hand and sneakers laced tight,
The battle began under the sun’s warm light.

Amidst the cheers and the crowd’s uproar,
Coaches strategized, plotting for more.
On bus route H1, a journey profound,
Homework in hand, while the wheels spun ’round.

West Valley girls, a force to behold,
Seven-zero victory, their story told.
But amidst the serves and volleys so fine,
There were shenanigans of the most hilarious kind.

On Sunnyside’s turf, mischief unfurled,
Dancing, napping, in this tennis world.
An ice cream truck, a sweet distraction,
Bus driver Mike, a man of action.

At the drive-thru, a fateful glance,
Morgan and a guy shared a moment’s trance.
While chaos ensued on the fast-paced court,
Snack table bonding was the favored sport.

Amidst all the laughter, a hint of chaos,
Fastball madness, oh the hubbub it caused!
But in the end, amidst the fun and the fuss,
West Valley reigned supreme, without a must.

So here’s to the tennis match of the week,
Where laughter and victory were never bleak.
With shenanigans aplenty and joy all around,
West Valley’s triumph, a tale renowned.

Big day for West Valley Tennis a little divide and conquer. Pulled in a lot of parents for extra help and put a lot of miles on the school subrbans. JV boys and girls in Yakima YTC for a jamboree. Thank you Kyle Rasmussen for organizing and Chantel Sliman for coaching.

Varsity Boys and Girls at the Tr-cities Invite. Kids at 7 different locations. Everyone had to play 4-2 out of 3 fast fours for seeding. Many wins only a few loses and many many many 3rd set tie breakers. Finished playing into the night with beautiful sun sets. Sariah finishing in the dark. Can’t see the ball anymore.
