Our Bright Beginnings students have been busy learning about their five senses and last week, they had to opportunity to put their sense of touch to the test while exploring different textures and temperatures— with their feet! This texture walk was also an awesome way to practice using descriptive words like warm, rough, squishy, icy, scratchy, and slimy. Thank you, Miss Erin, for making learning so much fun for our BB littles! 😍

As a school, the safety and security of our students and staff is of highest priority. A couple years ago we added 'RCS Parent Patrol' as a piece of that priority. Parent Patrol is a group of not only parents, but grandparents and other adults in the RCS community who are willing to don a reflective vest and walk our campus as a visual presence.

Pictured here is Lori, a grandmother of six RCS students! Lori and her husband Kraig walk our campus praying and keeping watch over the safety and security of our school grounds.

RSC families, would you be willing to join Lori, Kraig, and other adults who love RCS by being a part of Parent Patrol? You can volunteer on occasion or, even better, on a regular day at a regular interval. Either frequency is great and would be very appreciated! Your contribution to campus security as Parent Patrol is also a great way to earn your family's service hours throughout the year!

Our gym recently received a huge upgrade thanks to some very generous donations from the RCS community.

PaintSmith, a local company owned by RCS parents Brad & Marissa Durham, created a mural on the north wall that perfectly captures our mission of being a school Rooted in Christ.

Additionally, one of our fund-an-item initiatives at last year’s auction was athletic upgrades, which included a new scorer’s table and branded wall pads on the east and west walls. These wall pads not only look great, but will also protect our students during daily PE classes & after school athletics!

Thank you to all who contributed to these beautiful gym updates!
