Well, that's a wrap on this year's YEA Welcome Back BBQ!
There were over 100 YEA members and their families gathered at Eisenhower High School commons. We ate, played, games, and won prizes!

We were honored to have WEA President, Janie White, as our special guest.

Thanks to everyone that came out to share some food and fun with us!

🍎 TEACHERS, THIS ONE IS FOR YOU.

Teaching has a way of following you home.

It’s the lesson you’re still thinking about at dinner. The student you’re worried about long after the final bell. The papers waiting to be graded. The emails that still need answering. The activity you suddenly think of at 10 p.m. that might finally help something click tomorrow.

And then morning comes, and somehow you walk back through those doors ready to do it all again.

People often see the hours teachers spend standing in front of a classroom. They don’t always see the planning, worrying, preparing, grading, problem-solving, and emotional energy that happens everywhere else.

So as another school year gets underway, here’s a reminder to every teacher doing far more than their job description could ever capture:

The work you do matters, even when much of it happens where nobody can see it.

Here’s to the teachers showing up and giving their best every single day. ❤️
