Ailenn Monahan. This Yakima Valley College student-made red blend reflects the shared creativiti of art, education, and winemaking.

Raise a glass to community ---where art and wine meet at the table.

2023 Larson Gallery Red Blend
Vibrant and inviting, this wine opens with generous aromas of ripe blackberry and Bing cherry, layered with hints of dark plum. On the palate, the fruit remains juicy and expressive, supported by thoughtful oak integration that reveals nuances of chocolate, vanilla, and a delicate touch of anise. Lively acidity lifts the fruit, while a subtle chalky texture adds dimension, providing both grip and elegance.
55% Counoise, 35% Cabernet Sauvingnon, 9% Petite Sirah, 1% Primitivo

🎓 Meet Student Commencement Speaker Yuleyda García.

A physician trained in Venezuela, García has dedicated more than 33 years to health care, focusing on treating the whole person, not just the illness. After immigrating to the United States in 2023, she chose Yakima Valley as her new home and enrolled at Yakima Valley College to continue her educational journey.

Drawn to YVC's Medical Assisting program and commitment to community-centered learning, García quickly became an active member of the campus community, sharing her knowledge, experience and global perspective with fellow students.

"After living here, I fell in love with the Valley, its natural beauty, its strength and especially its people," García said. "I feel a deep connection to this community."

Please join us in welcoming García as she addresses the Class of 2026 during commencement.
