TEACHING ARTIST RECRUITMENT
The Washington State Arts Commission (ArtsWA) is seeking passionate performing artists (musicians, dancers, actors, and puppeteers) for paid training and contract opportunities in early childhood classrooms. We are currently prioritizing artists residing in the greater Yakima area.

Required Training Dates: September 28 – October 2, 2026 (Yakima, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM)
Contract Range: $4,600 – $6,100 (covers training week and classroom residencies)

Athletes, families and coaches are invited to pick up free sports gear Saturday at Franklin Park's Rotary Pavilion courtesy of the Parker Youth & Sports Foundation. 2101 W Tieton Dr, Yakima, WA 98902.

The foundation has been collecting new and gently used sports gear since its sports equipment drive began on June 15 and will hand out the equipment on a first come, first served basis from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Athletes, families and coaches are invited to pick up free sports gear Saturday at Franklin Park's Rotary Pavilion courtesy of the Parker Youth & Sports Foundation.

*******Update: We Ran Out of Diapers! ❤️

Our diaper distribution was a huge success! We distributed diapers and wipes to 200 families in our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped make this event such a success. We are grateful for the opportunity to support so many local families and appreciate everyone’s patience and participation.

We look forward to serving our community again at future events!
