Yakima Valley College offers a variety of clay classes including beginning, intermediate and advanced throwing classes and hand-building at the Yakima campus. This Winter quarter, YVC Clay will be offering an evening Functional Pottery class. The class runs 5-8 on Tuesdays and Thursdays starting Jan 6. Sign up now if you’re interested!
This is a great opportunity for people who work during the day. In the class you’ll learn to throw bowls, cups, and other functional forms. You’ll also learn glazing and firing and will leave the class with both skills and functional pieces for your home, kitchen, or gifts.

Registration has opened (at least for the first round of students), so I want to remind folks about the evening pottery class I’m offering this winter: Tuesday/Thursday 5-7:40pm.
Learn to throw bowls, mugs, vases, etc, fire kilns and glaze functional work. ART 201, 5 credits Humanities distribution.

Teachers and folks who work day jobs, YVC will be offering Functional Pottery as an evening class this winter. This is a fun way to earn some humanities credits, while learning to throw, glaze and fire bowls, vases, mugs and teapots. You’ll leave the class with knowledge of making and firing and lots of dishes, too!
