We’re so grateful for the time, heart, and dedication she brings to supporting Yakima students and helping make a difference in our community. Her commitment to the Foundation does not go unnoticed!

Executive Director, Shawna, had the chance to join fellow Yakima Rotarians and help get backpacks ready for students at Adams Elementary. They spent time filling them with school supplies, and then got to see the kids receive them as they started their first day of school.

Being able to be involved from the beginning to seeing the excitement on the students’ faces was definitely the best part. Sometimes it’s the little things that can make a big difference for a kid.

We are so grateful to be part of a community that continues to come together and find ways to support our students and getting to be a part of projects like this is exactly why we love what we do!

Wishing all of the students and staff at Adams Elementary School an amazing school year!

What a night! ❤️

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Spaghetti Feed! We are so grateful to our incredible community for showing up and helping us celebrate 35 years of Yakima Schools Foundation!

A special thank you to our amazing sponsors for supporting this event, and to Nancy J Leahy and Debra Yergen for sharing their time and words with us. Your support means so much!

We also want to give a BIG shoutout to our Yakima Schools Foundation Board for spending their evening setting up, volunteering, serving, and tearing everything down. We couldn’t do it without you!

Tracy Anderson — thank you for making all the food happen!
David Anderson — thank you for letting us use your vehicle to transport everything and for helping with teardown!

It truly takes a village, and we really couldn’t have done it without all of you!

We had a fantastic night filled with great food, great people, and so much community spirit. We are incredibly grateful for everyone who helped make it a success.

Here’s to 35 years of making a difference for students — and we can’t wait to see where the next 35 years take us! 🎉
