🌈 Happy Pride Month from the Junior League of Yakima! 🌈
This month, we celebrate the beauty of authenticity, the strength of community, & the power of love in all its forms.
At the Junior League of Yakima, we believe that every person deserves to feel seen, valued, respected, & supported. Pride Month is a time to honor the LGBTQ+ community, recognize the progress that has been made, & reaffirm our commitment to fostering a community where everyone belongs.
Love has the power to connect us, strengthen us, & inspire positive change. When we lead with kindness, compassion, & acceptance, we create a stronger, more vibrant community for all.
This June, & every month, we celebrate love, diversity, & the unique experiences that make our community better.
Happy Pride Month! 🌈❤️

One of the most impactful New Member projects EVER ♥️ And a beautiful partnership!
The Yakima County Department of Corrections would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Junior League of Yakima for their incredible generosity and community support.
The Junior League recently conducted a backpack drive with a goal of collecting 50 backpacks for women transitioning from incarceration back into the community. Thanks to the outstanding support of donors, volunteers, and community members, they exceeded that goal by a wide margin—collecting an incredible 106 backpacks!
These backpacks will be provided to women in our community upon release and contain resources and essential items designed to support a successful transition and help individuals take positive steps forward.
Community partnerships like this demonstrate the power of people coming together to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. We are grateful to the Junior League of Yakima and everyone who contributed to this effort.
Thank you for helping create opportunities, provide hope, and support successful reentry for women in our community.

✨ A New League Year Begins ✨
As we welcome June 1 and the start of a new League year, let’s take a moment to celebrate both transition & continuity.
We are deeply grateful for outgoing President Richelle’s leadership, dedication, & service over the past year. Her commitment to our League helped strengthen our impact & guided us through a year of growth & connection.
Today, we proudly welcome Cindi as President & Janae as President-Elect. Together, they will lead alongside an incredible group of members who are passionate about making a difference in our community.
While leadership may change, the heart of our mission remains the same: service, community, & developing women leaders who create meaningful change. We look forward to another year of rolling up our sleeves, building connections, & serving the Yakima Valley with purpose.
Here's to a new year of impact, growth, & community. 💙

At the Junior League of Yakima, we believe community impact begins with dignity, compassion, and action.
This week, our new member class completed a meaningful community impact project by assembling backpacks filled with essential toiletries, hygiene products, comfort items, and everyday necessities for women reentering the community after incarceration through the Yakima County Department of Corrections.
For many women, release day can mean walking out with little to nothing. These backpacks are more than supplies. They are a reminder that every woman deserves care, dignity, hope, and the opportunity to move forward.
We are incredibly proud of our new members for leading with empathy and service and grateful to our community partners and donors who helped make this project possible.
Small acts of kindness can create powerful moments of restoration.
