Going to Kentucky to see…..family……and return….and so much in between

The National Thoroughbred League hosted the day at the races. When Kenny heard Joe bumped into Dr. J and wanted an autograph, of course Joe told him to come on over and pet the horse!

I got to be there for Wyatt’s birth and again for Thanksgiving with Grandpa Joe! Kenny and Lynelle and Kaya , and Kara and Matt and Wyatt and sister Nana for In a few days. Such great memories in that small moment in time

We are blessed with a beautiful, wonderful family. Next year we hope Jimmy and Heather can be there.

any of my FB friends out there have a weaning Filly to share a pasture with fir some months? My April filly is too nice to grow up all alone! She’s quite sensible. She is Thoroughbred of course but if any body has a cold or warm blooded Filly to sell I’d consider that also.

If you only have one day to spend in Mount Rainier National Park this summer, this is what I would recommend doing: -Take the scenic drive up Sunrise Road and stop at Sunrise Point at dawn. From here, you’ll get some great views of both Rainier and Adams. -Hike the Sourdough Ridge Trail up to the Fremont Fire Lookout. It’s only about 2.8 miles from the Sunrise Visitor Center to the tower, and you get some awesome views of the park on a clear day. -From the Fremont Fire Lookout, continue on and hit 1st and 2nd Burroughs Mountain. From here, you’ll get an incredible look into the Glacier basin below, Little Tahoma, and especially the Emmons Glacier. It’s only a few extra miles to do this hike from Fremont, and you can loop back down to the trailhead from Burroughs. -Stop to take some reflection photos along the short trail around Tipsoo Lake. -Hike the Naches Peak Loop trail, a moderate 3 mile loop trail with a viewpoint overlooking a like, grassy meadows and wildflowers, and panoramic views of the mountain. *Reminder* -From May 24th to September 2nd, a timed reservation is required between 7 am and 3 pm to enter the Paradise Corridor. -From July 4th to September 2nd, a timed reservation is required between 7 am and 3 pm to enter the Sunrise Corridor.
