St. John of Kronstadt is the patron Saint of our school, and on October 19th, we celebrate his feast day!

Reflecting on the life of St. John, I am deeply moved by his warmth, compassion, and unwavering love for those around him. He was known not only for his great faith and miracles but also for his tireless dedication to serving others; feeding the hungry, comforting the suffering, and pointing countless souls toward Christ with gentleness and humility. His example reminds us daily of what it means to live a life rooted in love. To see Christ in every person and to respond with kindness, mercy, and joy.

On Monday, the Church celebrated the Feast of the Nativity of the Theotokos—the first of the four great feasts honoring the Mother of God. 🌿✨

In connection with this, our 5–8th grade classes prepared by learning about the Theotokos and her role in our Church. They also studied the four feast days celebrated in her honor throughout the year:

The Nativity of the Theotokos (September 8)

The Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple (November 21)

The Annunciation (March 25)

The Dormition of the Theotokos (August 15)

By beginning with her Nativity, our students reflected on her life of humility, obedience, and love for Christ. Marking this feast helped them see how her example continues to guide and inspire the Church today.

The first weeks at St. John of Kronstadt Orthodox School have been such a sweet beginning, and what an exciting school year we have ahead!
We are especially looking forward to our monastery trips where we share learning from the sisters in such a holy place with our friends from Saint Macrina Academy. We also deeply treasure our ongoing Wednesday collaboration with the homeschool community with enrichment classes: Iconography, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd, Faith with Fr. Benjamin, and Music, which adds so much richness to our students’ experience.
We are deeply grateful for our staff and volunteers, whose warmth and dedication bring life and love to our community.
