Born and raised in Yakima, John has been involved in the Yakima music world for over 15 years. Studying at YVCC then later University of Denver, he has performed with the YVC Chorus, Yakima Valley Opera (also music director for a number of years), Denver Light Opera, Yakima Symphony Chorus (also Young artist 2 years in a row), Canticus, and was able to sing the Bass Solo for Verdi's Requiem. An active singer, he is also slated to sing the role of Schaunard in Mid Columbia Opera's production of LaBoheme in November 2026.
John offers vocal lessons as a guest instructor at Affordable Music Studio, specializing in lessons for adults and teenage students.
