Last week, our 8th graders gathered for their final retreat, a cherished St. Joseph Marquette tradition. This annual retreat is a beautiful opportunity for students to connect with one another, reflect on their journey, and deepen their faith as they prepare for the exciting road ahead.
Through prayer, conversation, and fellowship, students were given the chance to pause and appreciate how much they have grown during their time at St. Joe's. As graduation approaches, we pray they carry the lessons, friendships, and faith that have shaped them into the next chapter of their lives.

Exploring the Yakima Valley 🌿
Our 5th graders recently had the opportunity to learn from the Yakima Valley Conservancy about the unique features of our beautiful valley! Students explored local ecosystems, discovered the plants and animals that call our region home, and learned how we can all help protect and care for the natural resources around us.
We are grateful for this hands-on learning experience that helped our students develop a deeper appreciation for the place we call home!

Many thanks to the Sikh Temple of Yakima for welcoming our eighth grade class with such hospitality. We enjoyed a delicious meal and loved hearing SJM alumna Harjas teach us about this beautiful faith tradition. It was an especial blessing to see their new temple completed! God bless you Sikh community and thank you so much!

🚒 Fire Safety in 2nd Grade!

This week, 2nd grade had a wonderful visit from the fire department! Students got an up-close look at a fire truck, explored its equipment, and learned important fire safety tips from the experts. It was a fun and memorable hands-on experience, and we are so thankful for our local firefighters for taking the time to teach our students! 🔥👨‍🚒

📚✨ 3rd Grade Reading Fair Success! ✨📚

Our 3rd graders proudly showcased their reading projects at our annual Reading Fair, sharing all of their hard work and learning about important story elements like characters, setting, plot, conflict, and theme!

This special day was about more than just books. It was also a chance for students to practice their presentation and speaking skills as they confidently shared their projects with visitors. Some students may have even presented their boards to nearly 100 guests throughout the day! 🤩

We are so proud of our young readers for their dedication, creativity, and confidence. Thank you to all of the families and guests who came to support them and celebrate their learning! ❤️📖
