Innovator Spotlight:

This week, we are excited to highlight one of our hardworking innovators. Monico shared one thing he enjoys about the Innovation Center is how “basic learning is turned into experiences".

Keep up the great work, Monico! We are proud of the effort you bring every day and look forward to seeing all that you continue to accomplish!

The Yakima County Auditor certified the election results on Friday, Feb. 20, 2026 for the Feb. 10 election. Thank you to the West Valley community for their approval of the 4-year replacement levy. The levy will be used to fund music, drama, athletics, special education, instructional materials, and other costs that are not funded by state and federal funds. Thank you, again, to our community for their support of the replacement levy!

Let’s gooooo 🔥💪

Today two of our Innovation Center students are stepping onto the mat at the STATE tournament — and we could not be more proud.

Early mornings. Extra reps. Discipline when no one was watching. Balancing school, life, and the grind. This is what it looks like when hard work meets opportunity.

You represent more than just yourselves — you represent our school, your families, and every student chasing something bigger.

Compete fearless. Wrestle with heart. Leave it all on the mat. Innovation Center is behind you all the way!

DID YOU KNOW? – West Valley’s replacement bond and replacement levy will address student needs while keeping the tax rate in the future similar to the current tax rate.

The replacement bond will replace the high school bond that will be paid off in 2026. The replacement levy will replace the four-year levy that was approved by voters in 2022.

For both a bond and a levy for schools, voters approve a set amount that is needed. If the assessed value of property in the community goes up, the combined tax rate will go down. Schools do not get more money when the assessed value goes up. Voters approve the set amount. If the assessed value increases, the combined tax rate decreases.

The Board of Directors listened to community members who said to address student needs in West Valley while keeping the tax rate in the future similar to the current tax rate.

Ballots are due Tues, Feb. 10, 2026.
