Are you interested in joining the Eisenhower Cheer Team next year? 🎉

Cheer tryouts will be held March 16–19!

There will also be an informational parent meeting on Wednesday, March 4th from 7:00–8:00 PM in the IKE Library.

🎿 Our middle schoolers hit the slopes this winter! Thanks to the White Pass Ski Foundation and UW GEAR UP, 15 students each from Franklin, Lewis & Clark, Washington, and Wilson Middle Schools learned to ski through the Learn to Ski Program. Beyond new skills, they built confidence, resilience, and lasting friendships. Grateful for community partnerships that create unforgettable learning experiences!

🖼️ Artists exemplify the spirit of collaboration at Wilson! Students in Amy Thorpe's classroom came together to create a visual example of YSD's March Character Word of the Month: "Collaboration."

The artwork was created from 25 individual panels by projecting Vincent van Gogh's "Sunflowers" painting with a grid overlay. 🌻🧩 Students and adults used oil pastels to color the panels, which were randomly assigned – some students created multiple panels! 🎭🎨 Colors were chosen to match the original painting. The finished panels were mounted onto a wooden backboard, resulting in a beautiful display! ✨🖌️

Great job to our talented artists for exemplifying the spirit of collaboration – Jayden, Anthony, Carter, Ruben, Michael, and Logan! 🌟👏

Thank you to all of the adults who helped with this project: Louis Araiza, Justin Ashman, Tracey Kinter, Angelica Lovely, Amy Thorpe, and Melissa Wilson. 🙌❤️

Our schools are on a two-hour delay today, Friday, February 7, 2025. Middle and high school begins at 10:00 am and elementary school begins at 10:45 am. Bus routes 2, 8, 19 and 26 on snow routes. Breakfast available upon arrival. No a.m. preschool and no a.m. YV-TECH.

Two-Hour School Delay
Thursday, February 15: Due to very icy conditions on the west side of our district boundary, all YSD schools will be delayed by two hours today. There will be no morning preschool, no morning classes at YV-TECH. Buses will be on snow routes (morning only).
