Week 34! While we do have a shelter to shoot under when the weather is less than ideal, it is highly recommended to invest in quality ear protection!?! Protect them ears folks!!

I was lucky enough to have Jeff Whitaker at Pew Pew CNC send me a ported slide and barrel for the HK CC9 to put through some testing.

So far, I’m a little over 400 rounds in with zero reliability issues.

The biggest takeaway has been the reduction in felt recoil. It’s significant enough that when I hand the setup to another shooter, the reaction is almost always the same—they’re genuinely blown away by how flat and soft the CC9 feels.

Testing is far from over. I’ll continue putting rounds through it to evaluate long-term reliability, and I also plan to do some ballistic gel testing to see what, if any, effect the porting has on self defense ammunition performance.
