There’s so much to learn about nature during the winter! Check out our tips for winter nature walks: Dress in layers to help manage your body temperature, plan your route ahead of time so that you can ensure it is safe and appropriate for your kids, bring a camera or journal to record important sightings, and use physical activity (like jumping jacks or knee highs) to warm up.

We LOVE consumable gifts because 1) we always need craft and activity supplies, 2) they are fun to open AND to use, and 3) they get “used up” eventually and free up space for new stuff. Our favorites are play doh, fun glitter and glues, all types of fun paper, colored pencils and markers. What are your favorite consumable gifts?
