The first week of daycare can be tough for children, parents, and even teachers. There are so many emotions swirling around: fear, excitement, worry, and hope. But here is the good news: with a little patience and a consistent routine, it will get easier.

Parents, one way to help is by writing a note to your child’s teacher. Share a list of their likes, dislikes, favorite songs, or anything that brings them comfort. These small details can make a big difference during the transition.

Remember, your child is stepping into a whole new world with unfamiliar faces and surroundings. It is a lot to take in, and they need time to adjust. But trust the process, stay positive, and know that with love and support, it will get better.

Parent's Night Out next Friday! Sign up by the office door to reserve your spot. Enjoy a nice night out or take that well deserved nap! Either way, just sign up!! Proceeds go to help offset the cost of the OAEYC conference that many of our teachers will be attending in April.
