A teacher’s brain is constantly thinking about school, students, the next lesson, and so on. Even though it is summer, we are already thinking about next school year! So many people have been very generous throughout the years by supporting fundraisers and buying items from our Amazon wish lists. We have been working on our lists for the 2026-2027 school year and will be sharing them for anyone interested in purchasing things for our classrooms. We want to congratulate Mrs. Jacobs on her retirement! She retires with 31 years of dedication and loving service to the students and staff of Xenia Community Schools. Mrs. Jacobs started out in the clinic at Arrowood and followed in the library there. She also worked in the library at Central Middle School before joining us in 2013.

How lucky we have been to have had her for so long! She will be missed!

Ballgame rained out? Outdoor plans changed because of the weather? Come play mini golf instead! XTAR MINI GOLF IS TODAY!

We will have the courses moved inside of Benner Field House (316 Edison Blvd. Xenia).

Mini Golf F.A.Q.s

When and Where is it?

Friday, May 8th from 4:30-7:00 PM at 425 Edison Blvd. XENIA

Did you know that we will have 2 nine hole courses open to play?

One course will be set up in the outfield inside the baseball field. The other will be set up in the lower parking lot area to make it more accessible for people who cannot do the grassy surface. **We also have a course just for the little ones to play free of charge (up to age 5)

What if it rains?

We are prepared to host our event inside the building if necessary. X.T.A.R. Mini Golf will happen- rain or shine.

How much does it cost?

We have made the event very affordable for families- individuals are $3.00 for 9 holes of Mini Golf; $10.00 for a group of 6 people to play 9 holes of MIni Golf

What are your methods of payment for Mini Golf?

We are only equipped to accept CASH!

Where do we park?

We will have parking available at Benner Field House, in front of the baseball field, and street parking on Edison Blvd and adjacent side streets. There is also parking at Shawnee Park.

What about dinner?

We have food vendors to fit any budget. Beach Brothers BBQ has a large selection of smoked meats and side; What the Taco? has Mexican food; Lou & Crew's has a mix of salty and sweet items; Crumbl Cookies will have a variety of cookies to choose from; and Hey Sis! Let's Drink will have a variety of dirty soda options.

Why should we come to X.T.A.R. Mini Golf?

It is family friendly! Our students helped design the course! We have the best price for miles! It is "Fore" a Good Cause!

Where does the money earned go?

The proceeds from Mini Golf will help next year's 5th graders be able to host their own Mini Golf event.

It will help pay for our final 5th grade field trip.

Finally, we hope to establish an X.T.A.R. scholarship for a member or members of the class of 2033 (current fifth graders)- it is our hope that this becomes an annual event that will support subsequent fifth grade classes for years to come.

Mini Golf happens this week! The t-shirts for the students arrived today- they look great. I saw the front of the shirt first and I will share more about that later. The back of it...it is hard to put into words.
