Come on out to Bob Hope Auditorium at Xenia High School this evening, Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, in support of National Music In Our Schools Month to celebrate our instrumental music students and for a night of excellent music! Admission is free for all and performances begin at 7PM!

Greetings from the Xenia High School Instrumental Music Department,

Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 10th at 7 PM, the Xenia High School Big Band, Concert Band, and Symphonic Band will be presenting their March National Music In Our Schools Month Band Program. The final dress rehearsals for Concert Band and Symphonic Band are Monday and Tuesday, March 9th and 10th during 6th and 7th period for each group. Student report time should be no later than 6:30 PM to the XHS Band Room on the day of the concert, Tuesday, March 10th. Below are bullet points on when, where, what to wear, and all other information that students and families will need to know who will be in attendance. All concerts are mandatory and are a part of the student’s overall grade and experience in the program. This particular concert, combined with the March Concert Reflection and Critique, acts as the student's summative assessment for the quarter. This is a free concert that is open to the public, and we encourage all who are available to attend!

When: Tuesday, March 10th at 7 PM

Where: Bob Hope Auditorium at Xenia High School (enter through the side doors nearest to the band room at door 2B)

What to Wear: Student attire should be black dress clothing with black dress shoes (tennis shoes are not acceptable), black suits are encouraged as well as ties. White undershirts to be worn under the suit are acceptable.

Program: XHS Concert Band, XHS Big Band, Special Guest Artist, XHS Symphonic Band and presentation of OMEA Solo and Ensemble Awards by XHS Principal - Mr. Whalen

Seating: There will be a reserved section for the bands, as each band is required to stay to watch each other perform. All other seating is open to the public.

Cost: Free to all attendees

Xenia Indoor Percussion Ensemble landed 1st place of 4 today at their Vandalia Butler HS MEPA performance. Scores are as follows for the day.

🎶 Exciting News - XHS Symphonic Band! 🎶

We’re proud to share that the XHS Symphonic Band has been selected as a Featured Ensemble for the Music for All Regional Concert Band Festival at Mason High School on Saturday, March 7, 2026! This honor comes after a competitive audition process and we’re thrilled to represent Xenia on the main stage alongside outstanding programs from across the Miami Valley.

Important details for students and families:

• Arrival: Students report to XHS by 10:50 AM, dressed in full concert black attire.
• Performance: 1:35 PM in the Mason HS Auditorium.
• Meals: Please be sure students eat a large breakfast/early lunch; their next opportunity to eat will be around 4:00 PM.
• Post-performance: Students will observe two ensembles (Beavercreek HS at 2:45 PM and Lakota East HS at 3:20 PM), then load and return to Xenia.
• Return time: Approximately 5:00 PM (updates via ParentSquare if delayed).

The Xenia Rotary Club donated again this year to the XIPE (Xenia Indoor Percussion Ensemble). They donated $500 to help. We want to thank them for their generosity!

We were pleased to provide a $500 check to the Xenia HS Indoor Percussion Ensemble through the Xenia Band Boosters. The funding will be used to build props for the indoor percussion season and to provide scholarships to students who cannot afford the fee but would like to join.
