We had an amazing Move-in Day at Penn State Berks! 🎉 A huge thank you to WFMZ-TV for capturing the excitement as our newest Nittany Lions arrived on campus. It was inspiring to see first-year mentors, resident assistants, faculty, and staff come together to welcome and support our incoming students. Plus, one of our Penn State Berks families was featured in a special interview! 🦁💙

The campuses say there will be a lot of activities over the weekend for the students to get familiar with the people and the area they now call home.

Even without many of our students on campus during the summer, we've had a busy season here at Penn State Berks! We had a great time hosting students from Reading and Berks Catholic high schools for Mayor Moran's Summer Youth Program, where some of our current students and recent alumni discussed all of the opportunities Penn State Berks offers and the unexpected doors that were opened during their time here. 💙🤍

Exciting news — the Manufacturing Innovation and Learning Lab (MILL) at Penn State Berks has received a grant that will allow our students to collaborate with Brentwood Industries, Inc. on real-world projects! Brentwood Industries is a global manufacturer of engineered plastic solutions, and this grant will support students working directly with Brentwood staff, helping to advance digital transformation and innovation deployment across their manufacturing operations. Our Biology Ahead students have been busy with hands-on work in the Greater Reading community! Earlier this week, the cohort visited the Douglassville Veterinary Hospital, where they learned about suturing, bandage wrapping, and dental extractions. 🐕‍🦺❤️‍🩹

Biology Ahead is a bridge program for incoming students interested in majoring in biology or a related life science. These students are living on campus and will continue with service projects and more throughout the summer — stay tuned for updates!
