Our annual Smart Start event is this week!

Details:
📆 Thursday, August 13, 2026
⏰ 7th Graders: 8-10am | 8th Graders Drop-In: 1-3pm
📍 2125 Wrenwood St. SW Wyoming, MI 49519

7️⃣th Graders -
* Students only - stay for the entire 8-10am time frame
* Walk through daily schedule
* Participate in building tour
* Learn WJH expectations and receive a free t-shirt
* Take school photo for student ID card and yearbook
* For 7th graders who live in the WPS district, busing will be provided home

8️⃣th Graders -
* Drop in anytime between 1-3pm
* Pick up schedule
* Take school photo for student ID card and yearbook

Please note that any 7th graders unable to attend Smart Start are welcome to attend the 8th grade drop-in event from 1-3pm.

Also, picture retakes will take place during the school day on Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

On Wednesday, July 29, WPS is offering FREE athletic physicals from 6-8pm at Wyoming High School.

Any WPS student planning to participate in any sport throughout the school year must have an up to date athletic physical on file.

This is the perfect opportunity to get it taken care of before the school year begins!

Please take note that the location for the WPS Back to School Registration event has changed!

*Please note that there are a couple of important dates coming up at the end of July that are reflected in our August calendar:

📆 Tuesday, July 28 the WPS Back to School Registration event will take place at Wyoming Junior High from 3-6pm in the cafeteria.

📆 Wednesday, July 29 WPS will be holding FREE athletic physicals at Wyoming High School from 6-8pm. It is important to know that any student wishing to participate in any sport throughout the school year, must have a sports physical on file and up to date.

📱 Exciting Update for WPS Families!

We’re excited to roll out the NEW ParentVUE & StudentVUE mobile apps for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year making it easier than ever to stay connected. Families will have the ability to access grades, attendance, schedules, school communications, and more all in one place! ✨

The current app will be phased out in early July. If you already have it, you’ll be redirected to download the newest version once it’s ready to go!

We’ve been testing the new platform and love how clean, simple, and user-friendly it is for families. Be sure to download the NEW ParentVUE and StudentVUE apps and start the school year connected, informed, and ready for success! 💜

Wyoming Public Schools is proud to partner with MDE's Summer Food Service Program to offer FREE breakfast and lunch all summer!

All meals are FREE for children 18 and under—no registration required! Give your kids a healthy, happy summer with nutritious meals close to home. 💜
