Check out this article from the School News Network on our trip to D.C.! Great interviews by some of the students. The send off happens on Thursday, 5/21 at 4:45pm in front of the school. The band will play their selection for the crowd before they load the bus and take off on their journey. We would love to see you there!

Kelloggsville band ready to ‘soar’ on national stage The band is the only one from Michigan that will be participating in the National Memorial Day Parade in Washington D.C.

Tonight(Tuesday, May 5th) at 7pm the High School Symphonic Band will be performing their final concert of school year. It’s free to all so please come out to hear some great music and bid our seniors a fond farewell!

The Moon is calling and music education helped the Artemis II crew get them to space!

Music education is a launchpad to success and those involved in the Artemis II crew are a great example of that success. Judd Frieling, Artemis II Flight Director, played tuba & was drum major at University of Texas! Astronaut Reid Wiseman played in band with band composer, Brian Balmages. We have shared the posts in our story!

The discipline, team work, and leadership skills learned in the band room can be applied when piloting a spacecraft. Or teaching a classroom. Or managing a staff.

If we want our students to reach for the stars, we need to continue to support them so they can soar with opportunities! As Rockets, we had to share these cool ties the Artemis II crew have to music!

Congratulations, Joel!

Congratulations to Joel Mubake. He had the opportunity to play with the Grand Rapids Symphony this past Saturday night. He was honored along with other Mosaic Scholars at the concert and a gala afterward. On Sunday, he performed with the Grand Rapids Youth Symphony, an audition-only group that is composed of music students from the Grand Rapids area, regardless of school or program size. Joel represented the Rockets well the entire weekend!

Kelloggsville Bands is holding a Retired Uniform Fundraiser to help send students to Washington, D.C.!

Each uniform is $20 and includes the jacket, pants, sash, shako, and plume!

You can pick them up on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the KHS Auditorium, before the Mid-Winter Concert at the KHS Auditorium.

What can you do with old uniforms?

Really unique shadow boxes, make teddy bears (photo from Jenison Bands), and decorative pillows (photo from Hudsonville Bands). The options are endless!

It's that time of year again! The Rocket Takeover at the Grand Rapids Gold Game will be Tuesday, March 10th. We would love to have you in the building with us representing Kville! A portion of the ticket sales goes to the band program. We will be playing the National Anthem with the Kville Choir and the band will be playing during halftime. Come have some fun with us!
