We laughed. We reunited. We celebrated. We got inspired. We made some noise. And we reminded ourselves exactly why we do what we do.
From the Rider Marching Band, our cheerleaders, old friends and new beginnings, our 2026-2027 school year kickoff brought the ENERGY!
And now… Tomorrow, the Riders return.

What’s for lunch?
Monthly breakfast and lunch menus are available online and can be found through our website. Be sure to check back each month for the latest menu!
And as we get ready for the first day, students can start practicing their lunch number on the keypad!
Returning CR students will use the same number they have used previously. Kindergarten students will be supported by their teachers and cafeteria staff as they learn their numbers.
A little practice now can make lunchtime a whole lot easier! 💙💛

The Caesar Rodney School District 2026 MLL Backpack Bus was on the move!

On August 19, the Backpack Bus visited W. Reily Brown Elementary, Postlethwait Middle School and the Barker’s Landing community, bringing school supplies, school information, light refreshments and plenty of smiles to our families.

Dozens of backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to help our students start the school year ready to learn. 💙💛

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. We are so grateful for the time, support and community spirit that made it such a wonderful event!

Alyssa (Trasser) Spencer - Class of 2019
Alyssa (Trasser) Spencer is currently a stay-at-home mom and holds a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Special Education from Delaware State University. She is especially proud of graduating college with honors, becoming a mother of two, and purchasing her first home. One of the most meaningful parts of her Caesar Rodney experience was the lifelong friendships she formed. Today, she is grateful to still share those friendships with classmates who have grown alongside her and are now navigating many of the same stages of life.

Lauren (Ventura) Sugar- Class of 2012
After starting her career as a songwriter in Nashville, Lauren (Ventura) Sugar returned to school to study Marketing and discovered a passion for interior design. Today, she works as a Designer with California Closets, where she combines creativity, design, and client relationships. Lauren is especially proud of balancing school while raising her daughter and maintaining a 3.8 GPA. She credits Drama class at Caesar Rodney with helping her build confidence, communication skills, and the ability to think on her feet, skills that continue to serve her in both her career and life.

Candice (Corea) Michelini - Class of 2002
Candice (Corea) Michelini is a Literacy Coach with Waterford Township School District in New Jersey, where she has spent the past 18 years growing as an educator and leader. She is proud to have earned her Reading Specialist and Supervisor certifications while helping support both teachers and students.
Outside of work, Candice enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys. She credits the teachers who supported and challenged her during her time at Caesar Rodney with instilling the values of hard work, consistency, and taking pride in what you do, lessons she continues to carry into her career today.

Parents and guardians have three ways to access your student’s bus information for the 2026–2027 school year:

Where’s the Bus app: Bus information is already available in the app.

Email: Direct emails will be sent Monday to the email addresses listed in your student’s Infinite Campus profile. These emails will come from our routing system, Transfinder.

Infinite Campus: Bus information will be available in your student’s account next week.
