I had the pleasure of presenting my “Victorian Lady” program to a wonderful group of ladies at the First Congregational Church in Allegan last Sunday. This was originally planned for the spring of 2020 (that was a “no-go”) and it took us this long to actually make it happen! It was so fun! Love the great conversations before, during, and after. 🙂 This beautiful church is 163 (or so) years old!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I finished presenting “A Victorian Lady at Christmas” at 4 different KDL Libraries, and it was such fun! There were good crowds, considering they were wintertime evening library events. The guests were so interested, and the conversations were awesome. Thank you to all who came! 🎄

It’s the Holiday Season! I should have thought about posting earlier, but it’s not too late. I will be presenting a “Christmas Victorian Lady” program at 4 different KDL Libraries this month. It’s the Victorian Lady program with a Christmas twist”. I’ve already done two of them, but in case you’d like to join me, I’ll be at the Cascade Township Branch Library tomorrow night (the 11th), and the Grandville Branch on Thursday, December 18. The program is from 6:30 - 7:30. I’d love to see you there! 🎄

After somewhat of a lazy summer, I got to visit my Granddaughters school as “The Queen” last week, to be a a guest reader. Fun!!! 😍 Then a couple hours later, i got to be a part of my 5th grade granddaughters Halloween party. I made all the spooky treats, but she was a big part of the games and decorations. Glad I kept all the old silver pieces I’ve hoarded. She was going for an old Victorian mansion vibe. Love it!

I Had to share the beautiful new items I was gifted by my friend Cindy Leonard, whom I met at one of my programs. She graciously invited me to her home, and entrusted me with her Grandmother’s and Aunts wedding attire. They are stunning! And there is documentation on most of them. The 1934 green wedding dress is exquisite, and the 1910 blouse and petticoats are absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much for letting me hold a little bit of your family history - it will be shared and appreciated by so many!

My daughter graciously did a photo shoot of my new 1920’s spring outfit. I’ll be presenting a program tomorrow at an assisted living home, and I wanted to test everything out ahead of time. She did such a great job! 😊

What a busy spring! I’ll post more about that later. Right now, I’m packing up the car for the second program this May. I wanted to share a couple of my latest projects I’ve been working on - a new 1920’s spring dress, hat and coat! The fabrics are mostly thrifted. Lots of work, but it was fun!
