Two Great classes tonite ! The novice class was allot of fun and class just flew by the advanced class was impressive and Also a Blast!
I could'nt be Prouder. We had some Great sparring in the advanced class and an eagerness to learn in our novice class that is exciting and inspirational to say the least.

Its important that we all know how to protect our selves especially women and young people because they are the predators easiest target.
Do your self a life saving favor and take the time to learn how and wear to strike an attacker. Learn a few escape moves and the do's/don'ts of self-defense.
Talk to your dad your brother or your guy friends. Talk to a women whos educated on self-defense or has experienced it for them self.
After that if you are still not confident or just want to be stronger and learn more about feeling and being safer in your every day life join a gym, self-defense, or
kick-boxing class.

We had a Great class this week with our Jr. Advanced Class. We welcomed back a student.
It was Beautiful outside so we took class to the park just down the road. Its always nice to get some grass under our feet and have all the wide open space for training.
We got to practice some walking teniques We worked more on putting techniques we've learned together and developing useful combos.
And we learn about being light on our feet or felt the pain of a pine cone or little stick lol
We played a few games of
Sensei Says and finally after all winter got to do some staff training with out the confinement of the dojo but of course both must be learned. We had alot of fun and l seen some real Progress.
Mr Bill was Proud.

Happy Mother's Day from the BNII family.

We had a great class today in the Jr. Advanced class. We worked on kata Alot today. We do things a little different at BNII.
We have our katas we learn and work on for belt advancements and weapons katas and katas for all kinds of situations but...
We believe strongly in Brain Training. Lets open our minds to new ldeas.
Today we did some freestyle katas nothing new we like to put stipulations on each other to make it tougher like you must do said number of moves or blocks, kicks, strikes etc. No hesitation of corse.
But today l wripped up small pieces of paper and wrote emotions on them like happy, sad, angry and on one piece l wrote show no emotion at all. Then passed them out randomly asked them to show a brief kata representing what was on there paper
The point to this was to show the importance of having a clear mind not just in kata but in all things. We discussed the different emotions and how they affected there movements such as being to excited can make you to jumpy or slopy or how being sad can make u to slow and sloppy and so on. But the one with the paper that said show no emotion at all (in other words have a clear mind) had the smoothest cleanest most overall powerful katas each time again and again.
A clear mind equals the best possible chance of survival in a life or death situation.
And we finished class with some meditation.
Was a fun class.

lve been training in the marital arts sense I was 7 most of my life. Many couldnt imagine the sacrifices l have made over the years in so many ways by me and my family the hours and years of time and untold sums of money in class fees, gear, gas, tournament fees etc. But l Dont regret a min not a tear or a bruise not dollar or nite missed with my friends. l can go on for days tho on what the martial arts has done for me and my life as person in a ever changing and mean Dangerous world that needs a youth who is ready for any thing and is aware of there surroundings knows how to protect them selves and has a strong character knows what is real, has clarity of mind and practices the principles of peace.

Some Good classes today.
We had a new student in the adult class that went very well.
We had some concentration issues in the Jr. class but all in all it was still a good class.
We have alot comming up with the warm weather and growth in the school.
l cant wait for classes at the park over looking the city and hopefully some tournaments this year.
