Farming takes care of a lot of things. Don’t forget to take care of yourself, too. 💚 This , check in with yourself and the people around you. A simple conversation can go a long way. Don't forget to purchase your hat in support of Rural Minds: https://bit.ly/4hg4a4x

Downtown Little Rock is wearing the green this week! 💚🍀

A big thank-you to Union Plaza for lighting up the skyline in honor of National 4-H Week. When one of the most recognizable buildings in our capital city glows 4-H green, it sends a clear message: the young people growing up in our clubs, camps, and county programs matter to this community.

That kind of visible support ripples outward. Every kid who sees that green tower knows that Little Rock is cheering them on as they learn, lead, and serve. That goes for future farmers, engineers, nurses, and entrepreneurs alike.

Thank you, Union Plaza Building, for shining a light on Arkansas 4-H

Please help us welcome Kate Turner, our new extension rice plant pathologist! 🌾🦠

Kate grew up in a small Tennessee town surrounded by farms. After working closely with extension during grad school at the University of Tennessee, she set her sights on an extension career.

"I wanted to find a niche to help growers and now I'm in a position to do that," she said.

She started with us in September and plans to spend her first year in the field meeting growers and county agents. She's also working on image-based resources to help growers and consultants identify rice diseases.
