A huge thank you to our Teacher Appreciation Week Committee for going above and beyond to make our staff feel so loved this week. It’s no easy task when our teachers mean so much to all of us, but you pulled it off flawlessly 🎶 . We’ve heard again and again how special this week felt.

In our Teacher Appreciation Era 🎶, you spoiled our staff all week long: Monday breakfast & lunch, Tuesday taco lunch, Wednesday’s coffee truck, Thursday’s lounge refresh and restock, and Friday’s student letters + treat cart delivered to every classroom.

You made the whole place shimmer 🎶 , and we are so grateful for our incredible extended PTO heading into Mother’s Day weekend. Long live 🎶 this amazing community 💙💙💙

Class is in session in our outdoor classroom! A full power washing and spring clean-up were done and the difference speaks for itself! ✨

Huge thank you to Rodney from Gentleman Window Cleaning, Mike Weiss from Greenland Landscaping, and our amazing Sicomac PTO Green Team for bringing everything back to life. Teamwork (and a lot of elbow grease) makes all the difference 🌿💧

If you haven’t already heard, one of Sicomac’s most beloved kindergarten teachers, Mrs. Jayne Mazie (), is retiring this June after more than 30 incredible years at Sicomac Elementary School!

For decades, she has been welcoming our youngest learners, helping nervous kindergarteners grow into confident students with patience and encouragement.

Her impact goes far beyond the classroom. She has been part of school events, supported countless initiatives, mentored colleagues, and helped shape the heart of the Sicomac community.

Generations of students have started their journey because of her, and her influence will live on in every child she’s inspired 💙🤍
