Last week (May 4) the Wilson MS 7th grade band, 8th grade band, and the 7/8th grade orchestra participated in an adjudicated Festival Performance and Clinic held at RHS.

We were very proud of the groups performances on and off the stage!

These groups along with the Wilson Jazz Club will perform their final concert at WMS next Tuesday (May 19).

The Dearborn Youth Symphony celebrated the end of its 50th season tonight.  Over the years, many Wyandotte students have been members of DYS, including on tonight’s concert.

Tonight’s concert also featured RHS Junior, LuzElena Cornejo Reyna performing mvmt 1 of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto! Congratulations to LuzElena and all the WPS students and alumni involved.

If you were ever a part of the Wyandotte Music Department, then you've probably heard the phrase "It takes a village to raise a band/choir/child"

A fun (and wholesome) example of that was this morning before the Band had their performance on the Intrepid. In the pictures you will see some of our choir and color guard and orchestra members holding music for our band students as they rehearse before performing.

Just a nice moment watching our musicians help each other!
