Having Kyrié on our birth team brought us great peace - she is encouragement itself! “Kyrié was a great addition to my support group when I delivered my second child. She took pressure off of my husband and allowed him to just be there with me. Kyrié gave words of encouragement and served me in many ways while in labor (she gives amazing back massages). Not only did she take time with me when I labored, but she was sure to take time out during pregnancy and post-partum.

My name is Kyrié Laudermilch and I am the doula behind Sacred Birth Doula Services.

Why am I a birth doula?

I grew up as the oldest of 11 kids, so I’ve loved babies as long as I can remember and I started changing diapers almost as soon as I was out of them myself. 😊

Years ago, while I was still in high school, I was given the privilege of being present at my two youngest siblings’ births. There was something special and sacred about birth that made me fall in love with it and I jumped at the chance when other moms invited me to participate in their births.

Fast forward to seven years and a college degree later, I knew that I wanted to be back in the birth world. I began attending births again and am now fully certified to do what I love!

There is nothing quite as awe-inspiring and full of wonder as the moment when a new soul enters the world and draws their first breath. It is truly a experience that connects each individual in the room to something greater than themselves, something precious, something sacred.

You have the news… a baby is on the way! A bun is in the oven. A lovable new human is poised to enter the world.

All sorts of emotions swirl through your head: excitement, logistics, worries, fears, anticipation.

Long months stretch ahead of you and this (slightly scary) something called LABOR and BIRTH looms at the end…
