The Wray FFA Greenhouse is open today from 10-4!

We have tomatoes and peppers (with labels), geraniums, calibrachoa, marigolds, verbena, miss rose, portulaca, alyssum, coleus, ornamental sweet potato, lantana, cucumber, and various other plants including some perennials!

Over the past 2 months we have spent countless hours and driven a lot of miles preparing for and competing in District and State CDE contests.

We are so proud of every single FFA member who competed at districts and state. We had a lot of students try new teams and freshmen join teams to start developing their skills in the contest. Each of these teams and their success was built and motivated by every member of the team.

Over the past 2 days, all of that practice and time came together at the State CDE contest where 44 Wray FFA members competed amongst over 2400 students in 14 contests. and we want to celebrate the accomplishments of our FFA members in both their District and State accomplishments!

Starting May 2nd we will begin opening the greenhouse for plant sales!

For the past several months our horticulture class and various other students in the Wray Ag Ed classes have been hard at work in the greenhouse and we are so excited to open back up for a second year. This student led project is so fun and this year they’ve pulled off a great growing season.

Our first sale day will be Saturday May 2nd, but after that we will be open Tuesday’s and Thursday’s from 3:30pm-6:00pm (we will not be open Thursday May 7th) and Saturday’s 10:00am - 4:00pm through May 16th. We will have peppers, tomatoes, geraniums, petunias, calibrachoa, verbena, mixed hanging baskets, some perennials, and so much more!!

It’s almost time for our annual FFA Member Auction!

If you’re looking for 8 hours of work from one of our wonderful FFA members and a chance to support the Wray FFA Chapter, you’ll have a chance to bid on service hours from any one of our members on April 16th.

Please join us for a rocky mountain oyster and chicken strip dinner during the auction.

We will also be auctioning off two projects built by our ffa members following the service sale. Proceeds from these projects go to the FFA scholarship fund which gives money to qualifying seniors upon graduation (we have a lot of great seniors to support this year). Pictures to come!
