As we wrap up another amazing summer, I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am to every parent and guardian who trusted us with your kiddos. Getting to know them, watching them make friends, try new things, laugh until their stomachs hurt, and create memories together has truly been the best part of my summer. 🥹💜

Thank you for showing up, participating in our crazy theme days, supporting our adventures, and allowing us to be a small part of your child’s summer. Your kids brought SO much joy, laughter, energy, and personality to camp every single day, and they will absolutely be missed! 🫶

🚀✨ WHAT AN AMAZING FIELD TRIP! ✨🚀

Today, our YMCA Day Camp crew took a break from traveling through the past and headed to the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls! 🚌🔬🧪

Our campers had such a fun day exploring, learning, experimenting, and discovering all kinds of new things! From hands-on activities to exciting exhibits, there was so much to see and do. We loved watching their curiosity take over as they explored with their friends and made even more memories together. 💜

A HUGE thank you to our campers, counselors, parents, and guardians for helping make today’s adventure possible! Field trip days are always some of our favorites, and we couldn’t have asked for a better adventure for our final week of camp. 🥹💜

But our Time Traveler’s Adventure isn’t over quite yet… ⏳

After visiting the prehistoric world 🦖, journeying through medieval times 🏰, grooving through the 70s 🪩, and heading out on today’s adventure, there is only ONE destination left…

🪩✌️ GROOVIN’ THROUGH THE 70s! 🌼🕺

Today at YMCA Summer Day Camp, we traveled back to the 1970s, and it was totally groovy! ☮️✨

Our campers came dressed and ready for 70s Disco Day, and we had an absolute blast! We spent the day playing some nostalgic games, showing off our best dance moves at our disco party, laughing with friends, and soaking up all the peace, love, and good vibes. 🪩🌈🎶

We’ve had SO much fun traveling through time this week, but tomorrow we’re pressing pause on our journey through the eras and heading out on an adventure somewhere else! 🚌💜

We’re off to the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls for a fun-filled day of exploring, learning, and adventure!

🏰⚔️👑 HEAR YE, HEAR YE! MEDIEVAL DAY HAS COME TO AN END! 🐉✨

Today, our YMCA campers traveled back in time to the Medieval Ages! Our kingdom was filled with knights, princesses, princes, wizards, jesters, dragons, and more! 👸🧙‍♂️🛡️

But today wasn’t just about dressing the part — our campers got to LIVE the adventure! 🎭

Some of our very own counselors transformed into actors for an interactive medieval story, and our campers became part of the action! Throughout their journey, they had to work together to complete challenges, play games, create crafts, solve problems, and help our characters make their way through the kingdom! 🏰🐉⚔️

There were plenty of laughs, imagination, teamwork, and medieval mischief along the way! 💜

Our time machine isn’t stopping yet…
