Congratulations to Mass Academy senior Prisha Nair on being accepted to present at the MIT Undergraduate Research Technology Conference (URTC) this October! https://urtc.mit.edu/

Working with Dr. Roee Shraga at WPI, Prisha developed an AI-based system that helps uncover important financial data hidden in complex corporate reports. Her research, "Resolving the Missing Financial Data Crisis: A Generative AI Pipeline for SEC 10-K Extraction," was selected for a Lightning Talk at this collegiate-level conference, where she'll share her work with students, researchers, and professors from across the country.

We're incredibly proud of Prisha for this outstanding achievement and look forward to seeing her represent Mass Academy and WPI at MIT!

Mass Academy Students Earn National Merit Recognition!

What weighs about 1900 pounds? 1,965 pounds of food is what the Class of 2028 picked today at Community Harvest Project in Grafton. For perspective, that's about the weight of a large horse!

Today was one of our favorite Mass Academy traditions: Community Service. Our students spent the day getting their hands dirty, working together, and doing something that directly benefits people in our community.

- 1,965 pounds of fresh food harvested
- Enough food to serve approximately 9,000 people in need throughout Greater Worcester
- A greenhouse cleaned out and ready for CHP to keep growing fresh food during the colder months

Not a bad day’s work for a bunch of high school juniors.

And while the 1965 pounds of peppers will probably be the number everyone remembers, the bigger takeaway is what our students experienced: the satisfaction of working hard alongside others and knowing that your effort can make a real difference.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing staff and volunteers at Community Harvest Project for welcoming us, putting us to work, and making this one of our favorite days of the year!

The Class of 2027 returned to Mass Academy for one final day on campus before beginning their senior year at WPI! From college application and essay workshops to school photos, buddy activities, WPI presentations, and Community Service Project showcases, the day was packed with preparation, connection, and excitement for the year ahead.

A huge thank you to our Parent Support Group, faculty, staff, and WPI partners for helping make the day such a success. We can't wait to see what this outstanding class accomplishes during their senior year!

We kicked off the year with lots of energy, laughter, teamwork, and a few challenging problems to solve—including arranging ourselves by birthday without talking! From getting to know one another to their first classes and lunch together, it was a terrific start to what promises to be an fantastic year.
