Wednesday Wisdom from Gordon Library!

Did you know that as a WPI student, faculty, or staff member, you have access to a HUGE library that goes far beyond our building? With Interlibrary Loan (ILL), you can get books, articles, and other materials FREE of charge from libraries literally all around the world! If we don’t own it, we can almost certainly get it for you.

Don’t let a paywall or an empty shelf stop your research or curiosity!

Renovation Update!

Due to continuing construction on the entrance of the Gordon Library, the building will remain closed to the public through June 21, reopening on June 22, one week later than previously announced.

Please see our updated announcement for more details on how to access Library services and resources, or assistance from IT's Service Desk and Technology for Teaching and Learning (TTL) team, during the building closure.

Library Renovation Update!

Gordon Library’s main (entrance) floor will undergo major renovations this summer that will expand the footprint of the Class of 1970 Café, bring efficient and modern lighting throughout the floor, add student seating, and create a new studio arts classroom. In preparation for the renovation of the Library’s main floor this summer and fall, the Library will be closed to the public from June 1 through June 14. This closure will allow construction crews to build a temporary pedestrian tunnel to ensure safe access to the Library.

While we are closed, library staff will remain available to assist you. If you need items from the collection or have a question, please email us at [email protected] or call 508-831-5410. Staff will be on-site and ready to help.

Join us in celebrating the 30th National Poetry Month with our final event of the year: WPI Poets. We are excited to welcome our first alumni reader, Gerald Yelle! A published poet with several books and chapbooks to his name, Yelle will share selections from his work alongside readings by current WPI students.

Join us TODAY, Wednesday, April 15th, from 1-3pm, on the main floor of Gordon Library to explore a selection of books from Gordon Library and Archives & Special Collections.

WPI Librarians and Archivists have pulled art and design books from the stacks. Modern, historical, beautiful, and intriguing books from our collections will be available for you to peruse/flip through. Think petting zoo, but with books! Get inspired by botanical drawings, graphic art, architecture plans, mechanical designs, and more. And don't forget to snap pictures as you go!
