Physical Therapy is often too easy, stopping before truly building up a capacity to load. Strength is part of the prescription. Load the tissue appropriately and prepare for real world demands.

Marathons don’t get any easier. You just meet a stronger version of yourself each time.
Grateful for an incredible weekend at the Coast Guard Marathon.

18 weeks of preparation, intention, and consistency…

And a shout out to my family, for their support AND for pushing their own limits, embodying what the goals of The MOVEMENT Junction are all about.

Challenge: create one effective, accessible exercise on the spot.

SHOULDER PAIN WITH DECREASED ROTATOR CUFF STRENGTH ⤵️
One main function of the rotator cuff is to keep the ball part of your shoulder down and stable in your socket.
Targeted exercise to build a rock-solid rotator cuff: Banded 90-degree Overhead Press
Key points:
• Use of band to enhance activation
• Hold 1-2 seconds at the top for max effectiveness

Add this exercise into your routine and feel the difference in stability, strength, and performance.

Save this. Try it. Let me know how it goes. 💪
And with any questions, come see us!

you’re in the hot seat next!!

As a Movement Junction PT team, we are keeping the tradition Jeff has completed for all his previous marathons of raising funds for an instrumental organization. We believe 22Mohawks Corp pursues a similar goal to give individuals the care they deserve and see all people well.

Their work is vital in helping those who have served our country rediscover purpose and thrive in their communities. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of these brave individuals.
Your generous donations will help fund their essential programs. Please take a moment to check out this organization local to MA!

To donate on our marathon team: Use the link provided in our bio - you will be directed to the website for access to purchase a Movement apparel item with proceeds to the org or scroll to the option to click the direct link to the gofundme donation page. Thank you for coming alongside us to support!

MARATHON TRAINING 🏅
Most runners don’t get injured because they run too much. They get injured because they progress too quickly without preparing their tissues.
As a DPT, here’s a glimpse into my current 18-week marathon build that focuses on:
✔ Gradual mileage progression
✔ Strategic deload weeks
✔ A built-in half marathon for race rehearsal
✔ Progressive long runs
✔ Structured strength training

It’s about consistency.
It’s about total time on feet.
It’s about adapting the body to the stimulus — not shocking it.
And the integration of strength work, because skipping limits both durability and performance.

Marathon training should build you — not break you.

T-7 weeks out over here, comment below your countdown!

& Save this for your next build.

📣 MEET CELINE PT, DPT 📣
Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Celine Mende PT, DPT as she joins The Movement Junction Physical Therapy’s team! 😄

Celine earned her undergraduate degree with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Merrimack College before going on to complete her Doctor of Physical Therapy at UMass Lowell. As a former collegiate tennis player, Celine developed a deep appreciation for movement, performance, and injury recovery through her own athletic experiences. Her passion for physical therapy is rooted in a genuine desire to help people regain strength, confidence, and function in their daily lives. Having undergone shoulder surgery herself, she understands firsthand the physical and emotional journey of rehabilitation, allowing her to connect with her patients on a meaningful level. Outside of the clinic, Celine enjoys fitness and working out, continually embracing an active lifestyle that reflects the same principles she promotes to those she treats.

She is now accepting clients! 📲
Book your Free Assessment in the portal to best see her availability.
Or DM us / reach out to her at (774) 224-2031

We are truly overjoyed to welcome her to the Movement family and are confident you’re going to love having her on your care team!

A moment for the shoulder…
The shoulder is one of the most mobile joints in the body——but that mobility requires the shoulder complex to work as a system.

True shoulder health depends on:
✔️ The ball & socket
✔️ The shoulder blade and arm working together
✔️ The shoulder blade moving freely on the rib cage
Miss one, and pain tends to follow.

This is why at The Movement Junction PT we assess movement first—not just symptoms. Care must be movement specific, person specific, and goal driven. Let’s equip you with a shoulder that’s resilient, powerful, and ready for whatever your sport—or life—demands.
