Notre Dame Academy students, Kathyrn Dugan, Abigail Wright, Hannah Somerset, Alex Burl, Daniella Vega, and Ellie Spencer, had an incredible opportunity to gather with student leaders from 8 Notre Dame schools across the country at the 2026 Student Leadership Conference at Emmanuel College.
Over four days, students explored what it means to lead with faith, courage, and compassion through prayer, leadership workshops, conversations with the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, and reflections on peace and justice. They shared stories about their schools, built new friendships, and were inspired to bring the spirit of multiple Notre Dame Learning Communities back to their own school.
Beyond the meaningful conversations and leadership growth, the week was filled with unforgettable moments- epic UNO battles, laughter and connection with new friends, a walk through Boston in the pouring rain, and cheering on the Red Sox at Fenway Park!
It was a week of faith, friendship, fun, and a renewed commitment to spreading God’s goodness through leadership and service, and in St. Julie’s words, “teaching them what they need to know for life.”
“I learned that by being a student leader does not mean being charge but instead it means serving others.”-Kat
“I learned through the Student Leadership Conference, that being a leader is full of balances. From believing in yourself to maintaining empathy, starting a movement but being the first to follow others, and doing what’s right especially when it’s tough.”- Hannah

Please join us in welcoming Cait Lubelczyk, better known to the NDA community as Mrs. L, as Notre Dame Academy's new Director of Marketing and Enrollment!
Cait returns to Notre Dame Academy with more than a decade of experience in strategic marketing, communications, and community engagement. Most recently, she served as Vice President of Marketing and Communications for the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, leading branding, public relations, and communications initiatives that supported the growth of the Central Massachusetts business community.
Prior to the Chamber, Cait spent 13 years at Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, where she concluded her tenure as Regional Marketing Manager overseeing marketing and communications for three Tenet Healthcare hospitals.
A proud Worcester native, NDA alumna, and current NDA parent, Cait holds a bachelor's degree from the University of New Hampshire and an MBA from Fitchburg State University. She is excited to return to her alma mater, bringing both professional expertise and a deep commitment to the mission of all-girls Catholic education.
Cait has been recognized for her leadership throughout the community, including being named a Worcester Business Journal 40 Under Forty honoree in 2016 and an inductee into the Notre Dame Academy Society of the Arts in 2022. She serves on the boards of the Juniper Outreach Foundation and PRSA of Greater Worcester, is the co-founder of the Worcester Irish Cultural Festival, and serves on the Executive Committee of the National Baseball Poetry Festival.
As Director of Marketing and Enrollment, Cait will lead the Academy's efforts to strengthen enrollment, elevate the NDA brand, and share the stories that make Notre Dame Academy such a special place.
"I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to return home to Notre Dame Academy," said Cait. "As an alumna, parent, and former member of the administrative team, this school has had a profound impact on my life. I look forward to welcoming more young women and their families into this remarkable community."
Welcome home, Mrs. L!

Today, we celebrate the freedoms that unite us as a nation and honor the generations who have worked and sacrificed to protect them.
At Notre Dame Academy, we are grateful for the opportunity to educate young women who will use those freedoms with courage, compassion, and purpose.
As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, may we also reflect on the responsibilities that accompany our freedoms and recommit ourselves to building a more just, peaceful, and hopeful future for all.
Happy Fourth of July from all of us at Notre Dame Academy!
