Working in the acute care float pool at UMass Memorial Medical Center, Raissa Mapinduzi, BSN, RN, collaborates with health care professionals across multiple units, adapting to patient needs and care environments.
She enrolled in the Master of Science in Nursing and Interprofessional Leadership program at UMass Chan Medical School to develop leadership skills that would allow her to work effectively in interdisciplinary teams.
“My favorite part of the program has been engaging with faculty and peers from diverse health care backgrounds, which has broadened my perspective on leadership in nursing. Additionally, observing and participating in interprofessional collaboration within health care teams has deepened my understanding of how effective teamwork enhances patient care,” Mapinduzi said.
