Save-A-Heart CPR Training

Students of St. Peter Central Catholic, in grades 2-8, learned the skills of CPR last week, as part of a Health & Wellness program being taught at the school. Students in grades 6-8 were given the opportunity to become CPR certified, and we are so proud to say that over 60% of the students in these grades successfully completed the American Heart Association’s Heartsaver CPR/AED course, and are now CPR certified! Parents, your kids did so well; you should be very proud!

CPR training is not yet a high school requirement in Massachusetts, but it should be. Don’t wait! Take a CPR class as a family, or, get a group together and do it as a community. Include the kids! Certification is not necessary, but everyone should learn the skills. You never know when you might need to save a life. We will come to you for the training!

Teen Who Saved Classmate Wants CPR Training Required For All Mass. Students It was an ordinary math class at Millis High School, when Sean White heard his friend coughing behind him in the next row.

I had the pleasure of training a wonderful group of Preschool teachers in CPR and First Aid a few days ago. One of the teachers brought her daughter along, so I decided to check out her skills too! At just 9 years old, Layla learned the skills of CPR and First Aid!! I was so impressed by her ability to do compressions flawlessly, give effective breaths, and use the AED. Way to go, Layla!
