We grow campus consciousness of our relationship to the environment by organizing education, service, and action opportunities in our community. In doing so, we build relationships with departments and student groups across campus, Worcester organizations, and political campaigns for environmental and social justice.

Holy Cross Eco-Action harvested over 2000 lbs of cabbage (that's ~10,500 servings) for food insecure families this weekend at Community Harvest Project! Truly a testament to how powerful we can be when we all work together. Special thanks to the folks at CHP and our 12 machete-wielding volunteers for making Eco-Action's first volunteer outing of the semester such a successful one!
Dealing with plastic waste is always complicated, even if plastics are labeled as "compostable" or "recyclable."

Keep contaminants out of your recycling bins! Holy Cross Students: when you're moving out of your dorms this year, be mindful of what you throw away, and what you recycle! Here's a helpful info-graphic from Eco-Cycle about what can and cannot be recycled!

ATTENTION HOLY CROSS STUDENTS! This year when you move out--don't throw away your unwanted items! Instead, go to the main common room of your dorm and place them in the donation bins, starting Tuesday and going until the end of finals! Items will be sold back in the Fall and donated to local Worcester organizations. Email [email protected] with any questions.

Introducing our latest initiative, TRASH TO TREASURE! Keep an eye out for donation bins in each of the residence halls, donate your unwanted (clean/unbroken) items there! Time to divert all this treasure from the waste stream! Contact [email protected] if you want to volunteer to help us with collections!

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in the waste audit! Hogan produces a lot of trash, especially coffee cups and plastic to-go containers. Consider bringing your reusable cup to get coffee, or asking for your crossroads order to be put on a paper plate instead!
