At the Auburn location of Children’s Corner the Younger Toddler classroom was exploring pumpkins. Through the exploration of pumpkins the child is learning about texture from wet and dry, sticky to smooth, and hard to soft. This child was happily exploring the inner parts of the pumpkin. Using their fine motor skills to pull and separate the fibers and carefully inspecting them. This activity helps develop their curiosity to the world around them, understanding how things work, and so much more.
