We are launching Families Connecting Families, a new initiative designed to help parents and caregivers connect with other families who may share similar experiences, interests, schools, or grade levels.

Notre Dame Academy will be hosting a Young Athletes program for people with and without intellectual disabilities or autism age 2 through 12.

Young Athletes is fine motor skills based and teaches athletes the skills behind every sport through running, jumping, kicking, throwing, and catching.

All are invited – so feel free to include siblings and friends!

The program will run on Saturdays from 9am – 10am starting October 3rd and running through November 7th.

Extended School Year Program Dates

Program Sessions:

•Session I: July 6th - July 16th
•Session II: July 27th - August 6th

**Break week of July 20, 2026

Schedule: Monday through Thursday

Hours:

•Preschool: 10 AM – 12 PM
•Grades K through 12 (including Transition Program): 8 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Extended School Year Itinerant Hours

*Itinerant services follow the same session dates as above.

Your child's individual schedule will be determined by the ESY Itinerant Service Administrator.

Parents will be contacted with the individual schedules.

Extended Year Itinerant Services will be scheduled with you directly by a staff member between 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Please note the type and frequency of services are indicated in your child's IEP under the Service Delivery section on pg 5.

Information from Federation for Children with Special Needs:

On Tuesday June 30th from 6-7pm we will be hosting the last session of our “I’ve Been There” series!

This series is for youth and young adults to come have real conversations about the transition to adult life with other young adults who have navigated the process!

Topics can include:

•Life after high school
•Connections for finding jobs and job support
•Different ways for continue education after high school
•Delaying accepting your diploma so you get the services you need
•Independence & daily life skills
•Friendships, mentors & support

This month our featured speakers will be Garnet Davis and Harry Alterman!
