Wonderful to see (‘25) cut the ribbon on the new Red Fence Gallery in Beverly, MA and featured by the Massachusetts Cultural Council! Way to go Stephanie!
・・・
Beverly is filled with art and creativity! There’s no better example of this than with the relaunch of the Red Fence Gallery, a changing public art exhibit showcasing local artists on Cabot Street by the Atomic Cafe. Over 40 residents and community leaders attended the Ribbon Cutting 🎀 and reception last Friday evening.
The Red Fence Gallery was a constant since 2016 but not surprisingly, shut down during the pandemic. Thanks to generous funding from the Mass Cultural Council and the project coordinated by partners Beverly Main Street, Montserrat College of Art and the City of Beverly with input from the Beverly Cultural District Partnership Committee, the Red Fence Gallery been reactivated!
Check out the presenters and speakers Becki Green, Community Engagement Manager Beverly Main Streets, Brian Pellinen President Montserrat College of Art and Stephanie Williams artist extraordinaire.
This year is especially significant as Williams has created a masterpiece to celebrate Beverly’s 400th! The symbolism and detail is not to be missed❣️ While Williams hails from France, she declares herself a Beverly resident at heart, making Beverly her home for the past 26 years. Her love and devotion to our great city runs deep and she hopes that she has captured its history in this incredible work of art for all to share and enjoy.
After the Ribbon Cutting, a reception was held sponsored by Historic Beverly and Montserrat College of Art.
Walk Cabot Street and check it out!!

Two more weeks to catch MATERIAL DIALOGUES
Last year I spent six months as an artist-in-residence with the UMASS Boston archive making work in conversation with their political poster and Boston Bus Drivers collections. The video at the end here shows some example images from the collections that I worked with. As you can see, I also incorporated a lot of duplicate materials from the Bus Drivers collection, gifted by the archivist.
On view until May 15th in the exhibit: 𝗠𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜𝗔𝗟 𝗗𝗜𝗔𝗟𝗢𝗚𝗨𝗘𝗦: 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗨𝗻𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱-𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗮𝘁 𝗨𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 January 26 - May 15th, 2026, Grossmann Gallery, 5th Floor of Healey Library, 100 Morrissey Boulevard, Boston, MA
This exhibition showcases ’s Artist Unresidency Pilot Program, which invited five artists to create new artwork in response to archival collections to expand how archives are encountered and understood while bringing these materials into contemporary dialogue.
