Our sisters are loving their summer time adventures ☀️

This summer has been filled with Alpha Gam ❤️ Our president and vice president of marketing attended two programs International Convention and Empower, where they met many other Alpha Gams. These were their takeaways:

Erin: “I was honored to attend Alpha Gamma Delta’s International Convention this year in phoenix on behalf of Zeta Zeta. Getting to experience ritual with hundreds of other sisters is a moment I will cherish. I was honored to watch our alumni be recognized for their years of service and dedication to Alpha Gam. As well as getting to represent our chapter for getting an honorable mention award for recruitment progress! I am thankful for the opportunity of getting to listen and take part in such wonderful keynote sessions from Danielle Bayard Jackson and learn about the inner workings of female friendships and what is needed for a successful friendship. I had a wonderful time learning new things from other chapters and sisters, like the fact the Legally Blonde screenplay was written by an Alpha Gam!”

Evelina: “Participating in Empower was an incredibly rewarding experience, and I felt truly honored to represent Zeta Zeta this year. The event took place in Bloomington, Indiana, at the Beta Delta house, and centered on women’s empowerment and leadership development—both within our chapters and in our broader lives. I was inspired by our keynote speaker Dr. Daryl Appleton, LMHC and enjoyed collaborating on challenges with my cohort. Beyond learning new perspectives on leadership, I cherished connecting with sisters from several Alpha Gamma Delta chapters and developing friendships throughout my time involved in the program.”

Our last IQP highlight of D term is with Ev and Mikayla 🌏

Ev has been working in New Zealand and exploring the public perception and user experience of regional parks. She spent her time visiting and surveying most of their national perks, her favorite being Kaitoke and Belmont. She even made time to snorkel with seals!

Mikayla is working in Taiwan to make a video in celebration of the Year of the Horse for the National Palace Museum. Through her project she has learned so much about the beautiful history and culture of Taiwan. In her free time she has explored Taipei, tried lots of food and boba, and visited many cat cafes!

We loved hearing about our sisters’ travels but we can’t wait to see them back on campus! Safe travels home ❤️💛💚

Our sisters are soaking up the last few days together before summer break! 🌷

Let’s check in with two of our sisters on IQP, Sofie and Maren 🌍

Sofie is working on her project in Romania but has enjoyed exploring much of Eastern Europe. She visited the Belvedere Palace in Austria, saw the canal in Prague, and even enjoyed some pierogis in Poland!

Maren has been researching fire safety awareness for a non-profit that supports communities throughout Namibia. She is so passionate about the work she has done and the positive impact it will have on the community. When not working, she has enjoyed sand boarding, exploring the city, and hanging out with her cohort on the rooftop of their accommodation!

We are so happy that our sisters have been enjoying their time on IQP and are making the most of it!
