It’s , and today we’re honoring two extraordinary individuals whose dedication, generosity, and spirit define what it means to leave a lasting impact: Vincent '66 and Roseanne '65 Matulaitis.
Their roots at Worcester State run deep, beginning with Roseanne’s father, Dr. Eugene Sullivan, who served as University President from 1947 to 1970. Since then, Vincent and Roseanne have carried that torch forward together. Beyond supporting class scholarships and the Dr. Eugene A. Sullivan Scholarship, they established The Vincent '66 and Roseanne (Sullivan) '65 Matulaitis Scholarship. Most recently, along with their daughter Susan Citro, they created a third endowment—The Vincent & Helen Matulaitis, Sr. Endowed Scholarship—to honor Vincent’s parents.
Their devotion extends far beyond philanthropy. Roseanne has served on the Foundation Board since 2012, serves as a Class Agent for the class of 1965, and has dedicated countless hours to reunion and the Scholarship Tea committees. Vincent served as President of the Alumni Associations Advisory Board (2008–2014), represents the class of 1966 as a Class Agent, and was instrumental in founding the Reach Out Committee. Continuing this family tradition of leadership, Susan joined the Foundation Board in 2024.
In 2008, Vincent and Roseanne made history as the first—and only—couple to jointly receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for Outstanding Service to Alma Mater.
