Sometimes when you dedicate your heart and soul to a place, the spirits will ask you to do things.
Years ago i started collecting Waters of the World to build into ritual, offerings, and prayer. I was collecting and receiving sacred waters from across the planet, and stored them in a special blue bottle.
Sadly, one day I opened the bottle to find that the water had gone foul. It smelled and looked bad. Bacteria overgrowth. I poured it out on the earth with some sadness.
Not long after this, the Faery Queen at the well here said don’t put the waters in a bottle, silly. The waters need to move and breathe. Put them in the well! and then take my waters with you to share with waters wherever you go. Do this with prayer to complete the water weaving circuit. This is more important than you know.
I have been doing this water weaving prayer practice for years now. I dont always remember to bring my little blue bottle with me, but when i do, i take a couple minutes wherever i may be to weave the waters with a simple chant; “May every heart this water touches, awaken into love.”
Recently, when sitting at the well after sharing some water collected from the wonderous Lake Willoughby, She reiterated the importance of this water weaving magic, and raised the bar.
She has asked that all who come to Dreamland build upon this practice by bringing a bottle of water from wherever they wish (pond, lake, river, stream, sea..) to offer at the Faery Well, and then to refill their bottle with these healing waters to bring back and offer in kind, completing the circuit with song and prayer for the waters and all they touch.
I have started asking folks who come here to do this but have honestly felt some inhibition in posting this publicly. This is a “wyrd” thing I am asking of folks. What will they think of me??
I still have moments when I am actually concerned about seeming too out there. Ha! Well, I can not deny that I am a wyrdo of the wise and wonderful waters! So this is your invitation to join me in this mysterious and potent healing ritual for the waters and hearts of the world, to AWAKEN into LOVE!
Come for an upcoming Dreamland event or come any Sunday afternoon during Temple Time open hours 2-6pm to do your water weaving, and enjoy the sanctuary!
