I am happy to report that two artists, Diane Leonard Senge and Grace Hoffmann are hanging an exhibit as we speak at the Sterling Senior Center. It is a celebration of sorts on the obvious viability of this group of artists whom espouse the classical Chinese, Japanese, and Indian art forms. Do come and see for yourself that the Silk Road Art Guild is alive and well.

I just went through our photo album and am again impressed by the quality of the work and the growth that is shown from our beginning 9 years ago. I am so proud to be part of such talented bunch of folks. Take a look when you have 10 minutes to spare. I did delete some duplicates but none of the candid photos taken by a variety of folks at our workshops, openings and monthly meetings.

The 19th of May is here and we have a possibility of some openings happening this week and next. Today, we will share a few of the last of the four paragons, the plum blossom. It is a favorite of some of our artists for good reason. It signifies to promise of new life, blooming on bare branches in very early spring. Enjoy!

Here is a new/old review of the glorious grass Orchid, a tiny delicate flower. It teaches basic brush strokes for the beginner and provides joy and excitement for any Artist who delights in the delicacy of this plant. The grass Orchid is a symbol of purity and elegance. The images come from several artists who are also members of the Silk Road Art Guild. Check the identifying information by clicking on specific images. Enjoy!

So today, I will show you some of the fine line paintings that I have done over the years. I do like working in this style and often go on a binge of making flower and bird paintings. Enjoy!

Ok! Today we will go back to "fineline" painting with a few images from Diane Leonard Senge. Diane's back ground as a graphic artist shows through in these fine examples.
