Theta Chi Fraternity at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Epsilon Chapter) Epsilon Chapter of Theta Chi was established at WPI in April 1909.

Theta Chi is the third oldest national fraternity represented on the WPI campus, and within our fraternity as a whole, Epsilon is the chapter in longest continuous operation. In April 2009, the alumni and undergraduate brothers of the chapter will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the chapter’s founding. For this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, we are proud to spotlight David Saxton! Bringing a disciplined mindset and a sharp focus to everything he does, David is a powerhouse within the chapter.

Hailing from Saugus, MA, David is currently navigating the complexities of a Computer Science major. Beyond the code, he serves as our Risk Manager and is a dedicated member of Army ROTC, where his leadership and commitment to excellence truly shine.

When he’s not in the lab or training, you’ll likely find David pushing his limits in the gym or pursuing his passion for finance. He also has a unique talent for mechanical projects, spending his downtime working on cars and motorcycles. Whether he’s analyzing market trends or under the hood of a vehicle, David brings a level of drive that inspires everyone around him.

That is why we’re incredibly proud to call David a brother.

For this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, we’re featuring Nathaniel VonRuden! Bringing a sharp mind and high energy to the chapter, Nathaniel’s presence adds a level of versatility that is hard to match.

Currently tackling the rigors of Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Fire Protection, he balances a heavy academic load with a true passion for the game. You’ll frequently spot him holding it down on the ice for the WPI Club Ice Hockey team, or dominating on the soccer field.

When he’s not in the rink or the lab, Nathaniel is always in pursuit of a new outdoor adventure. Whether he’s out on the course working on his golf game, casting a line while fishing, or reaching new summits on a weekend hike. Even with his busy schedule, he finds time to sharpen his strategy over a game of cards or simply relax and hang out with the brothers.

Between his drive for excellence and his genuine commitment to the guys, he is a massive asset and a joy to be around.

For this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, we’re featuring Kensho Takemoto! Originating from Yokohama, Japan, Kensho’s presence in the chapter adds a level of ambition that is hard to match.

Kensho is constantly in pursuit of a new challenge as you’ll frequently spot him dominating on the futbol field, putting in work at the gym, or reaching new summits on a weekend hike. As an international student, his curiosity for the world has turned him into a dedicated traveler, always searching for his next big destination.

Even with his busy schedule, he finds time to master his craft in the kitchen, or simply relax and kick it with the fellas. Between his drive for adventure and his genuine commitment to the guys, he is a massive asset and a joy to be around.

Introducing this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, Andrey Sargsyan! Hailing all the way from Artsakh, Armenia, Andrey brings a unique blend of adventure and culinary flair to the brotherhood.

When he isn’t hitting the books, you can usually find Andrey embracing the great outdoors. Whether he’s conquering new heights while hiking or catching speed mountain biking, he thrives on the energy of the trail. His talents don’t stop at the summit, though—Andrey is a master in the kitchen, sharing his passion for cooking with the world through his very own cooking channel.

Beyond his hobbies and technical skills, Andrey is defined by his infectious energy. With a spirit that radiates positivity, he never fails to put a smile on people’s faces, making every room he walks into a little bit brighter.

Meet this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, Bryce Peterson from North Haven, CT! Pursuing his degree in robotics, Bryce has found a passion not only in surgical precision machinery, but the thrill in life as well.

During the summer Bryce interns for Medtronic Surgical Robotics, gaining hands on experience and continuing his knowledge in the field as well as his technical abilities. At WPI, Bryce is heavily involved with campus life, being apart of clubs like SGA and ISA as well as being apart of the WPI Ice Hockey team playing as a goalie.

When Bryce finds time in between his busy on and off campus life, he enjoys to take some time off to sit back, relax, and enjoy some reading, cooking, hiking, the gym, and even sky diving!

While Bryce looks good on paper, he couldn’t be complete without his loving personality. A big smile and his helping hand go along way in his ability to make friends, have fun, and just enjoy being around.

Meet this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, Lewis Clapp from Waterbury, VT! A BS/MS Mechanical Engineering student, Lewis combines academic dedication with a love for the outdoors and staying active year-round.

This summer, he’ll be interning at BETA Technologies, gaining hands-on engineering experience and continuing to build on his technical skills. On campus, Lewis is involved in the Ski & Snowboard Club as a skier and the Cycling Club as a mountain biker, making the most of every season.

When he’s not studying or training, you can find him skiing, mountain biking, playing basketball, soccer, or flag football, or heading out on a hike or camping trip.

Often described as a “big friendly giant,” Lewis brings positivity, strength, and an easygoing presence to the house. His energy and kindness make him someone everyone is glad to have around.

Meet this week’s Theta Chi Thursday, Isaiah Perrelli from Sandyston, NJ! An Aerospace Engineering major, Isaiah has committed to an exciting path after graduation through the NUPOC program, where he will serve as a Nuclear Engineer in the U.S. Navy aboard a submarine. His ambition and focus set him apart both academically and professionally.

This summer, he plans to work as an apprentice in a nuclear radiation lab, continuing to build hands-on experience in his field. On campus, Isaiah is involved in ISA and stays active in the community.

Outside of academics, he enjoys lifting, music and mixing, and traveling. Although he’s visited two countries so far, he has big plans to explore more of the world in the near future.

Described as enthusiastic, smart, caring, and particular, Isaiah brings energy and precision to everything he does. His drive, attention to detail, and commitment to serving others make him a strong presence in the house.
