Today's scavenger hunt game!

The kids have been spending the beginning of class doing engineering related challenged. This week they have made boats out of tin foil and bridges to see which ones are the sturdiest. Today, they tried to make the tallest tower they could with index cards. They have also been working on Code Combat to get used to Python syntax. Today they started the text games. One student, Mahmoud, finished a “Guess the Number” game. Other students are working on “Choose Your Own Adventure” game

We had fun with Fattoush today! 😋

Today we made seed bombs! It's another way to be generous and give back to our ecosystem ❤️🌿

Learning about generosity and making bird feeders 🕊️

We're so impressed with how much these kids have learned in our Code 101 class! The kids have had an engineering related challenge each day. They were tasked with making aluminum foil boats and bridges to see which could hold the most coins. All of the boats were able to hold some weight.

They also were able to finish up their “Choose your own Adventure” games. They each chose a story to create through the game on a coding website (Repl.it) in python. After finishing their games, they were playing around with the AI assistant to see how they could add graphics and animations to the code they did themselves.
