Our Toastmasters District has expanded!😀

🤝 Welcome to the District 31 Family!

On July 1, 2026, 135 clubs in District 31 and 58 clubs from District 45 joined together to become one united District 31.

🌐 Together, we are 193 clubs strong!

District 31 now stretches from Rhode Island through Eastern Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine, into the Canadian provinces of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Prince Edward Island, and finally to the French islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon.

We are excited about what this merger means for our members. Bringing together so many talented, experienced, and dedicated people creates new opportunities to learn from one another, share ideas, and grow together.

Welcome to all of our new clubs and members in this new year. We look forward to the year ahead as we work together to make District 31 a great place to learn, lead, and serve.

This week we are meeting at Mexicali Cantina for some Mexican Cuisine and a regular meeting including TableTopics, which are always fun.

The menu choices are varied - we each order and pay for our food and drinks separately. The meeting begins at 7PM and goes until about 9PM

Central Club has two meetings a month virtually via Zoom, and two meetings per month in person. We get the benefit of both worlds!

Guests are absolutely welcome! Just ask the hostess where the Central Toastmasters table is - we'll gladly pull up another chair for you.

We had a great summertime meeting outdoors this past week!
We met on the patio area at Brick and Stone Woodfired Pizza. They always are very accommodating, and everything on the menu is good, and reasonably priced, so it is a favorite place for us to meet.

Henry, a new member, give his icebreaker speech - that's what we call someone's first speech. Elman was our Table Topics master, and yet again came up with creative topics!

We meet weekly on Wednesday evenings, some of our meetings are on Zoom, some are in person. We welcome guests!

What a great time we all had at the Central Toastmasters Club Alumni Spring Fling!

Thank you to everyone who came out to last night. Although we were missing some of our past members who could not attend, we all had fun, 2277 style. We all enjoyed Lenny's speech about his experiences with Judo, and an evaluation from Laura Pearson. Just about all of the guests got to spin the Wheel of Topics and gave some engaging impromptu responses.

Thank you to our Club President, Lynne who invited everyone and made the whole thing fun.

This week's meeting, Wednesday, April 1st will be held in person from 7 to 9 PM at The American Flatbread Company, 85 Green Street, Worcester, MA Guests are welcome: This is not an April Fools prank! Hee hee

We are planning a fun night out and we will each be able to have opportunities to bring a smile and a laugh to others on this evening!

Each Toastmaster will have an opportunity to tell jokes in each of the categories below and we are looking for speakers to present humorous, 5-7 minute speeches. We will vote on the "best of..." for each category.

Super Short Jokes - Under 20 Seconds: Knock-Knock Jokes, Lightbulb Jokes, One-Liners + Other Super Short Jokes

Short Jokes - Under 45 Seconds: Lawyer Jokes, Blonde Jokes, Walks into a Bar Jokes, Three Wishes Jokes

Longer Jokes & Funny Stories - 1 to 2 minutes each

and - of course

Humorous Speeches - 5 to 7 minutes
