The next meeting of the Schantz Maker Space community will take place on Monday Jan. 19, 2026. The meeting will last from 7 to 9pm.
We’ll meet at The Romich Foundation building located at 13875 Cleveland Rd in Creston, Ohio, 44217.
Our featured speaker will be Gavin Maibach. He has gone through amazing challenges in his life. He has taken classes in our maker space. He will share his experiences. We will talk about future possibilities. In a way, this is all about the reason we exist, and where we hope to go in the future. This will be an interesting meeting.
We will also spend time analyzing the new Genmitsu Kortek 5 watt laser engraver . We are planning on offering a beginners class in laser engraving. We want your feedback.

Schantz Maker Space is providing an introductory 3-d printer build class on Oct 18, 2025. The location of the 4 hour class will be the Wayne County Library main building in downtown Wooster.
The price of the class is $200. For that, each class participant is given an Ender 3, version 3 tabletop 3-d printer to assemble and take home. We provide training during the class on how to operate the machine, as well as ongoing support through our maker space.
